make sure you buy no drinks in cans, use glass bottles or 100% recyclable plastic bottles!

We should work together and save the world!

Each of us has a choice, and an obligation. I work at the construction of a new hydro electric power project. We will generate enough power to equal a coal fired plant! Buy green power!!

Save water, don't take long showers.

Coming up this

May 8th,9th and 10th, 2009

Come join us for a celebration of Spring! Once again, we will be bringing to the UC Davis Quad a diverse and powerful group of thousands to Educate, Inspire, Entertain and Share the Love of the WHOLE EARTH. We will be featuring two live music stages, a DJ pit of electronica, the soular Dance stage, and other musical and performance spaces. Participate in workshops, craft opportunities, dance, and much more. We hope to offer many alternative education opportunities to help spread information about making our lives more sustainable.

The festival is *** FREE ***

However, we feature wonderful food and crafts vendors to help meet your eating and art needs.

Whole Earth Festival was born when an art class taught by Jose Arguelles had an "Art Happening" on the University of California, Davis campus in 1969. The students used art to involve those that attended in an educational process that dared to transcend the typical system of standardized tests and impersonal lectures. Following the United Nations declaration of "Earth Day" in 1970, the second "Art Happening" (1971) was renamed "Whole Earth." Later sponsored by the Associated Student's Experimental College, and then becoming a self-sustaining unit, the Whole Earth Festival has evolved over three decades into what can be seen Mother's Day weekend on the U.C. Davis campus every year.
