I grew up being that child next door who was being abused by her uncle, neighbour and good family friend. I know how it felt to live in fear. Luckly I had the strength to speak up to my mom (who was a single parent) who was strong enough to fight on my behalf. She took me to get the help I needed to get past all the damage that had been done to me and now Im living a normal life with my three kids. Guarenteed .............I watch my children like a hawk and also am a licenced daycare provider who takes very good care of the children in my care. Im the first person to step in if I see a child being mistreated.....no matter what. Alot of the time, the parents are too ashamed to come forward if their child has been abused and believe me......that is the worst thing you can do for your child. The feelings, guilt, hurt and severe damage will not go away in time no matter how many hugs and kisses you give to them.
Please watch your children.....there are far too many sick people in this world.
