I'm very new to GoodTree, registered only on 28 Jul 09, but what caught my interest are the causes. A place I can find people with common interest and where I feel I can channel my energy and experiences for a good cause.

Just a plain and simple person that you can call friend. Originate from Singapore but had been living in Thailand for the last couple of years, living a simple life......but hope to perform something big and making an impact on people's life and the surrounding with His strength and wisdom.......a walking testimony for Him........

I travel around South East Asia (SEA) shuttling between offices in most of the major cities due to work requirement, at times regionally and globally, as and when my work requires me.

Herein looking for friends in these areas to learn and share the wonders of these land and their people, exchange travel tips and experiences especially working with the underpriviledged. Certainly hoping to be connected with simple people in any part of the world too that I can call friends and also not forgetting to stay in touch with my present set of buddies.

Lets extend our hands and clap together to the tune of friendship.

Acknowledgment and acceptance is the first step towards changing negative behaviors.
In this whole entire universe, we can find only one unique YOU!

It means that you've decided to look beyond the imperfections.

Things and People I Admire

People who go all out to help and improve others, be it lifestyle or the environment

What I Care About

All His creations.......and all that was and will be created by them. LOVE IS, allowing others to be themselves. When we allow, we give others the opportunity to be who they are, instead of whom we want them to be. Just as we want freedom to be who we are, similarly we should give others the freedom to be who they are. Allowing is selfless, allowing is love. None of us has the power to make someone else love us. But we all have the power to give away love, to love other people. And if we do so, we change the kind of person we are, and we change the kind of world we live in.

I've always believe in the magic of friendship. We don't need to be together, to talk often. Or to see each other. What's important is we don't forget what we've started...

Dear and respectable Friend Kris,

Peace greetings from me by saying you As salaamu aalaikum wa rahmatullahi wabara katuhu. (May peace, mercy and blessings of Allah be upon you). How do you do? Hope you are fine by Allah's Grace and Mercy. I am fine Alhamdulillah by the Mercy of Allah. It is my pleasure to get your message and I am really very happy to hear from a wonderful person like you. Thankyou very much.

A lot of people here in japan are taking days off during Bon festival period and going out of town in summer vacation, although recently there are water disasters by long heavy rain, hitting the southeast area by the typhoon, and also the earthquake occurred in Shizuoka yesterday in japan. And the traffic is getting heavier than I expected and some of the transports are cancelled. I think we can stay here in matsue and enjoy many events in here like:
Yakumo Festival “Oidenasai” on August 14th (Fri.) where 2,000 of fireworks will be set off between mountains in Yakumocho. There is also a stage event, food stalls and big sale market. (The fireworks will be postponed to 15th if it is rain.) Pray for all of us so that Allah protects us from any troubles and disasters.

And Keep smiling ALWAYS. Good day and best regards.Happy day to you. Hope to hear from you. Warm wishes and very Happy Greetings to you and my Best Regards to your family members. Take care. See you. Allah -Hafiz
AND FINALLY A VERY VERY HAPPY RAMADAN MUBARAK TO YOU.

May Allah bless your home with happiness, Your heart with devotion, Your soul with purity, And I wish that the blessings be with you always and forever, Ameen. I have also taken out a small part of an article that I was reading in the morning and I wished to paste it here as well so that you would like to read this interesting topic on Ramadan (fasting). See you again and Take good care and keep smiling again and always. Maa salaama. Zazak Allah Khairun.

Holy Ramadan

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar. Every day during this month, Muslims around the world spend the daylight hours in a complete fast. During the blessed month of Ramadan, Muslims all over the world abstain from food, drink, and other physical needs during the daylight hours. As a time to purify the soul, refocus attention on God, and practice self-sacrifice, Ramadan is much more than just not eating and drinking.
Muslims are called upon to use this month to re-evaluate their lives in light of Islamic guidance. We are to make peace with those who have wronged us, strengthen ties with family and friends, do away with bad habits -- essentially to clean up our lives, our thoughts, and our feelings. The Arabic word for "fasting" (sawm) literally means "to refrain" - and it means not only refraining from food and drink, but from evil actions, thoughts, and words.
During Ramadan, every part of the body must be restrained. The tongue must be restrained from backbiting and gossip. The eyes must restrain themselves from looking at unlawful things. The hand must not touch or take anything that does not belong to it. The ears must refrain from listening to idle talk or obscene words. The feet must refrain from going to sinful places. In such a way, every part of the body observes the fast. Therefore, fasting is not merely physical, but is rather the total commitment of the person's body and soul to the spirit of the fast. Ramadan is a time to practice self-restraint; a time to cleanse the body and soul from impurities and re-focus one's self on the worship of God.

Thankyou and Allah-Hafeez.
