More About Me

About Me

“It is not the will to win, but the will to prepare to win makes a difference.” This is my guiding principles in life. I have a big heart, my mind never stops working, deeply religious and practice fairness in all my dealings. Everything I do, I do it from the heart. I always stand proud of all my actions. I am very independent person, never been insecured of my physical attributes and very proud of my racial origin. Loyalty and honesty are the most important virtues I am expecting from the people within my inner circle as I always do the same for them. I do everything for LOVE. To me: LIFE IS SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST AND ELIMINATION OF THE UNFIT...It is always a battle, WIN OR LOSS, does not matter either way, what matter most is that I always fight hard enough in all things I believe in...My education and experiences taught me to have "common sense", without that I can’t imagine where life is heading to.

What Matters Most:
I value professionalism: “Say what you mean, mean what you say but do not be mean in saying it.” That makes my life typically within the standard norms. I am a life time member of an international service fraternity/sorority: Alpha Phi Omega, and served as Vice President for Sorority Affairs, the highest position of the sorority in the Philippines.The fraternity/sorority's principles of Leadership, Friendship and Service, are imbued so well in my heart. That govern the kind of person I am. I am an advocate of humanitarian endeavors specifically focusing on the welfare of children. I was exposed to humanitarian programs when I joined a team of consultants for development projects in the State of Cambodia. There I saw and witnessed the atrocities of war, saw starvation beyond imagination, and fears beyond compare. I saw shelling of bombs, gun fires always an ordeal of the night; I was 25 years old then, I aged so quickly. There my fashion for Saving the Children was born. I am gifted with little skill on writing, and I am using it to convey messages to political and economic players. During my stint in the Philippines House of Representatives working on the Veterans Affairs that is the time I understood fully the plight of military people. I strongly support our troops (not necessarily the war which is not their own making), and they have to defend this country. They too are humans, have dreams and aspirations, and have families moreso, children waiting at home. We are lucky we only worry about our personal concerns, while they worry about winning the battle, their families and wonder if they can come home alive.

ON TOP: I LOVE TO LAUGH AND SMILES.

Hi, I am Peggy,

I am very happy that here at Good Tree, I’ve found others uniting to transcend the problems of the world in a way that is beautiful.

I am working with others around the world for reform and believe that we could experience heaven on earth if we so choose….but it is up to someone to begin and if we are each doing our part, then I believe at some point, we’ll meet up with others dreaming the same dreams and as we all unite, can overcome the obstacles that manifest as evil in our world.

I am a screenwriter, running groups, and have just started a website at www.ourfreeworld.org

so I can bring people together.

I hear the silent voice of God and he says, just BE. That is what we are supposed to do, just BE in the moment, and then we can hear both the lessons of our spirits and our bodies and learn to think at a whole new level than the level which created these problems in the first place.

If you also have a MySpace page, I have a profile at

MySpace.com - www.myspace.com/400967459

And am hoping by 2016, to unite enough people around the world that we can and do realize that this world is our home, and if it’s a mess, we need to be the ones to clean it up.

Love, Peace, Happiness and Success to you as you make your dreams come true,

Peggy

P.S. I really like what you ahve to say!!!

I Cried Because I Have No New Shoes Until I Found a Man Without Feet

This is a true to life encounter with the author and a Nameless Woman. It happened today; 16th of May 2008.
==================================================
I was exiting a store this morning, when a woman approached me and asked a stick of cigarette. I told her I don’t have any, besides I only smoke when I hit the rock bottom. She told me she was very hungry. I said, "If you are, why are you asking for a cigarette instead of food". She said, "It is easier for people to give cigarette than give food." I normally don’t trust stranger because of my training in crime prevention, but somehow, I thought what if she really is. I invited her to the restaurant across the street and ordered her breakfast. I watched her eat like she never eats for a long time. I asked her if she got kids, she said, she got 3 left on her friend’s house. I ordered take home for the kids as well. When she is done, she grabbed my hand, and kissed it, I was taken aback. She asked my name and said’ "Thank You." I told her, "I am one of those nameless faces you meet everyday." I saw her cried. I told her goodbye and take care and patted her shoulder. I went to my car, I turned back and she was still there looking at me, still staring at me until I am gone out of the parking lot.

While driving, I feel there is something building up in my chest, and I started crying. I came from a third world where food is scarce and I am lucky because my family has enough, but to see somebody starving here struck me. While we are the one that make or unmake our lives, I am not prejudice to judge her sufferings and the sufferings of millions like her in the world. She mirrors to me the reality of life…IT IS NEVER BEEN FAIR. All of a sudden I was embarrassed because I complained so much to God why He took away some people I love dearly, spent long hours praying asking for answers. I feel guilty because I have all the basic things I need to live, which are denied to the many. That woman is a reflection of my greed, greed to seek the happiness that I thought was denied to me. I suddenly woke up and realized that the pains I have been carrying are not necessary. And there goes the saying: "I CRIED BECAUSE I HAVE NO SHOES, UNTIL ONE DAY I FOUND A MAN WITHOUT FEET." and yet he is happy. Thanks for that nameless woman; she is just very ordinary, however, she did extra ordinary things for me.

Your masterpeice is great, all the words ring true. Is that something else you learned for The Little Prince. I read that book at school and it was something I really enjoyed because it pinpointed all the troubles in society, through the eyes of an innocent who has no such feeling as greed or vanity, the world looks foolish indeed.

Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.

Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself.
Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment
it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe,
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be,
and whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.
