18 years ago today, the lives of more than 5,000 people --- fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, kids, changed abruptly in a snap of a finger, in a matter of seconds. Hardest hit are two cities more than a hundred kilometers apart, Baguio and Cabanatuan City, also affecting cities as far as Manila. I myself lost a friend in Hyatt Hotel in Baguio City, others lost whole families never knowing what hit them. At around 4:15 pm several cities fell into chaos all in a span of 2-3 minutes apart.
