AND FOR THE LIGHTER SIDE OF LIFE, here goes: in the dead of winter, two old geeks went out to fish in the frozen lake.
they prepared everything they could ever need....including of course a boring implement....(pangbutas ha, hindi nakakabagot, hehehe) so they could make a hole through the ice.....about 10am, they arrived at the frozen lake and one started to set up their tent while the other started boring a hole......
a few yards to their left was a kid, alone and setting up too.....and so they started to fish almost at the same time....the two old geeks and the kid.....
15 mins passed and the kid caught a sizeable fish.....the elders made a face and thought it was beginner's luck.....
another 15 mins.....another fish....
and this went on for two hours......astonished...the old geezers walked up to the kid and asked "that was good young man, how'd you do that?"
and the kid mumbled something incomprehensible so the geezer asked again...."say what?".....
.the boy stood up....
spat something on his palms and said.....
."I SAID YOU GOTTA KEEP THE WORMS WARM!"

oh boy! indeed there are things we cannot imagine.....frixample.....

Can you imagine the anguish felt by the relatives of the victims of M/V Princess of the Stars?
Can you imagine the feeling of waiting in agony.....hoping that their relatives somehow survived?
Can you imagine the hatred and angst they feel towards the people responsible directly or indirectly about the incident?

I guess not......no words or consolation can sooth the pain they are going through......life is not fair nor just......but we have not got a choice but to live it, have we?

Here's the aftermath: In Mindanao, southern Philippines.....flooding in Cotabato, and other major cities....causing massive evacuation. Worst hit are the islands in Central Philippines namely Romblon, Panay Island, Negros Occidental, Marinduque. Bacolod City suffered power failures for no less than 3 days. Iloilo City is underwater for quite sometime, death toll: 49, that's in this city alone.....Capiz in Panay Island suffered the same fate.....other parts had land and mudslides.....off the coast of Romblon, ferry M/V Princess of the Star capsized with more than 800 passengers, 30 survivors were rescued but the lifeboat overturned, 28 recovered, one found dead, the other missing, they landed in Quezon Province assisted by the local mayor....as of this time, less than 100 survivors have been rescued. Another fishing boat capsized with 100 missing. In Luzon, several towns south of Manila in Cavite came underwater forcing evacuation of residents to nearby public schools.....Metro Manila suffered flooding too and power outages. That's Typhoon Frank, internationally known as Fengshen for you....we haven't seen the last of these supertyphoons.....surely there are more to come.

tell you what.....have you noticed the signs? the earthquake in china, the tornadoes in midwest US, the flooding in India, the flooding in Central US and some parts of Europe, the Japanese stabber who killed 7, the earthquake in Japan, the global food and fuel crisis, another flooding in the US particularly of the Mississipi River and just yesterday, the severed feet, a total of 6 found ashore somewhere in British Columbia in Canada.....i don't know but it somehow reminds me of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse....interesting thought don't you think?
