About Me

job:
Semi-retired work-aholic

About Me:
Founder, Chief Executive, Eyes Wide Open International.

Interests:
I've been very fortunate to have had the opportunity to do a diverse multitude of things in my life and some of my happiest years were my poorest years financially. It doesn't take much 'money' to be happy and content. I'm a life long musician, play 7 instruments, Orchestrator of 9 instruments, music teacher, writer, singer, entertainer, composer and artistic expressionist. Founder of 2 International Organizations and 1 National Organization in the search of progress and development in the human fields. Learning freak and reader/writer. Open minded, compassionate, moral, passionate advocate/activist for "all" life on planet earth. Love BBQs, pool parties with friends and family. Boating, skiing, trips both local and abroad. 35 years in Human Behavior [Psychology] bio-chemistry, Brain. Looking for unconditional kindness.

Music:
I'm a very open-minded musician and love all types of music. I think there were two great decades of "popular" music in the US, the 60s and 70s and todays music is good, but has yet to hit the high marks of years past...but its improving! I'm a lifelong musician and played with some big bands in the late 60s [as a teenager...ha!] and early 70s publishing for Capitol Records as a studio musician. I still Jam with musician friends every week, play nearly every day and teach guitar...mostly. I'm a Rock-N-Roller, but play a little of everything. Music....my lifelong passion!! I've also had hair to my waist for over 34 years. Stubborn non-conformist.....geeeeez!!

"COMMON SENSE"

After their ship sank, a group of men and women were able to seim to a nearby island.
To their chagrin, they were immediately taken captive by a tribe of cannibals.

The chieftain turned out to be a learned man.
Moreover, everyone in the tribe was literate.

The cieftain told the frightened prisoners, "Tadition dictates that before we eat you, we will let you read a book."

"Oh," exclaimed a survivor, "is there a library here?"

"Yes," said the chieftain. "It belonged to some missionaries who once tried to convert us. However, we found their teaching so difficult that we decided to slaughter them all."

Smacking his lips, a tribesman interjected, "They were delicious!"

"Please give me the Bible," requested a pious woman. "I want to read God's word before I die."

"Edward Gibbon's The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire!" clamored a college professor.

"I'll have Shakespere's Romeo and Juliet," said a poet. "I want to savor the beauty of human love beore I die."

"Cornelius Ryan's A Bridge Too Far," said a soldier.

Finally, everyone turned to a monk who was known to be a holy man. They were curious about what the book he would ask for.

"And you, Brother Monk," askled the chieftain, "what book would you like to read before you die?"

"Die? I will not die," answered the monk confidently.

"Why do you say that?"

"We will be friends after I read the book that I will borrow. You will have no recourse but to spare me."

Mystified, the cannibal asked, "What book is that?"

"Dale Carnegie's How To Win Friends and Influence People."
