MY POST IN THIS SECTION WILL CHANGE REGULARLY - WHAT ELSE DO U EXPECT?
I am just a speck of dust in this seemingly endless universe. But if you want to know, this speck of dust has seen more drama in its short life than many people have in their entire lives. From being a bright but naughty kid who preferred the bushes, ponds and graveyards than being in a classroom facing "bad" mathematics teachers I graduated into teenage life as a rebel.
I went to university to please my mother and joined the military to please my government. I wanted to remain in the infantry to please myself.
It kept me close to the love of my inner self - the Malaysian wilderness. When faced with an enemy across the border I froze even when I had the opportunity to shoot him. I had failed because I couldn't bear to blast a living human body. I was deemed a misfit when placed at the HQ smack in the city. I was considered a threat to national security and holed up in solitary confinement. I was banned from a lot of things and ordered not to leave home for a specific period.
I was so bored with life that i became a writer. Fortunately writing has enabled me to earn my bread. I know I won't be a millionaire but i am also convinced I won't be starving for the rest of my life.
Now, do you still want to be my friend?
Well if you don't want my brand of devoted friendship, at least, would you help in the cause to save our animals in the wild from extinction? More importantly I'm concerned about the fate of the last of the remaining tigers (panthera tigris Malayensis) in our jungles. From time to time I will provide some useful information. See what you have to say.
Friends and friendship? First things first, second things second. First, not everyone here is seriously interested in a cause but but be honest and don't beat about the bush. Its ookay if you're not ready to discuss causes yet. We shall try and gel as friends and lets see if friendship can be the platform for us to do something for your causes and mine i the near future.
Only genuine friends who're willing to gel in in one of the following need to try me:
1. the romance of friendship
2. friendship of romance
3. plain ole long-distance friendship, of the pally-pally type
4. friends endeared to my heart,
5. friendship of two bodies, one spirit
6. friendship of one body, one spirit
7. friendship of one body, no spirit
8. borderless friendship
9. and...IF YOU ARE YOU
Things and People I Admire
, My late mother. My poor late father. The communists who struggled in the jungles and failed in the cities of this country. Che Guevara, Ghandi, Dr. Mahathir Mohamad and my soldier boys of Echo Company. My long lost sister Lim Soo Imm.The Malayan Tiger (panthera tigris malayensis). My late pet Georgine. My mentor General Wan Abu Bakar. My enemies who until today have remained nameless, formless, odorless and inexistent. My own exceptionally loving self who has the temerity to admire many more people, animals and things.
What I Care About
My survival and the feelings of others.
Pets
, After Jean (full name, Georgine) passed away I've lost enthusiasm for a pet dog. Now my preferred pets would be ladies who're broad-minded, witty and refined in their thinking.
Politics
Necessary evil. May good politics prevail, more often and in more places.
Religion
Hindu but I still lack knowledge. Would also love to adopt Islam, Christianity and Bahai Faith after learning more.
Books
, Khalil Gibran (The Prophet), Erma Bombeck (The Grass Is Greener Over The Septic Tank), Harold Robbins, Richard Dawkins (The God Delusion), Shakespeare, Mark Twain, David Oglivy (one of my advertisng bibles), Alvin Toffler, Lobsang Rampa, Allen Patton. Jane Austen (for her literrary style), Erma Bombeck (for her wit), Charles Dickson and even Enid Blyton who taught me how to enjoy my childhood and spice it up with adventures.
Movies
Comedies, war action and jungle-based but no sci-fi flicks please.
Gimme a jungle, put in a creek, place the animals inside, gimme a hammock and a female companion like Dian Fossey or Jane Godall or a girlfriend who loves having coffee by a small fire and not wanting to sleep away the beauty of the night...this is almost heaven.
